SOLACI Peripheral Session at SOLACI-SOCIME 2025

As part of the SOLACI-SOCIME 2025 Congress, the most important interventional cardiology event in Latin America, a significant scientific session was held at Expo Santa Fe, organized by the SOLACI Peripheral group, dedicated to updating and discussing advances in the treatment of peripheral arterial diseases.

The session was coordinated by José Luis Leiva Pons and Luis Virgen (Mexico), who brought together a panel of renowned specialists including Leandro Lasave (Argentina), Víctor Várguez (Mexico), and Isabel Sánchez (Mexico).

The program addressed key topics in the field of peripheral interventional cardiology:

Guillermo Llamas Esperón (Mexico) presented Peripheral Arterial Disease as a Cardiovascular Risk Factor, highlighting its impact on public health and the need for timely diagnosis and treatment.

Luis Virgen (Mexico) presented the results of the LATAM SOLACI Peripheral Registry, aimed at evaluating the Latin American reality in the treatment of peripheral angioplasties, providing relevant data to improve clinical practice in the region.

Félix Damas de los Santos (Mexico) delivered the lecture Pelvic Limb Salvage in Latin America, focusing on strategies and regional experiences for preserving limbs affected by advanced vascular disease.

The session concluded with a discussion in which experts exchanged perspectives and experiences, enriching the scientific debate and reinforcing SOLACI Peripheral’s commitment to research, continuing medical education, and improving peripheral cardiovascular care in Latin America.

This meeting once again highlighted the role of the SOLACI-SOCIME Congress as a forum of academic excellence and a platform for international scientific cooperation.
