SOLACI-SBHCI 2019 | SOLACI’s Regional Sessions Say “Here!” at the Annual Meeting

For over ten years, SOLACI’s Regional Sessions have set trends in Latin America, promoting medical education, advancing scientific development and research, fostering interventionism’s best practices and organizing scientific events of utmost importance for our specialty in different countries across Latin America and the Caribbean.

This is why both SOLACI and SBHCI regard the presence of such a fundamental initiative as essential for our region.

Therefore (emulating the successful format of our regular Regional Sessions) SOLACI-SBHCI 2019 is presenting “One Case, One Hope”, where prestigious hemodynamics specialists from different Latin American countries will show challenging cases of high educational value. In this occasion, we are presenting clinical cases from Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil, Venezuela and El Salvador.

This session will be coordinated by SOLACI President, Dr. José Luis Leiva Pons (Mexico), and Sessions Vice-President, Dr. Gustavo Vignolo (Uruguay). Likewise, Dr. Ricardo Lluberas (SOLACI former President), Dr. José Armando Mangione (incoming SOLACI President), Dr. Anibal Damonte (incoming SOLACI Vice-President), Dr. Omar Santaera (SOLACI Treasurer), and Dr. Jorge Mayol (SOLACI Infarction Network Group) will be composing the panel.

We would also like to highlight the session “Reperfusion Strategy and Care Networks on Heart Attack in LATAM”, to take place on August 3, 2019, at Rio Tietê room, where SOLACI Infarction Network Group will introduce their advances, as part of the initiative of SOLACI Sessions to develop strategies and projects in an effort to reduce the elevated mortality caused by infarction in Latin America.

As part of this Project, the Infarction Network Group promotes education in reperfusion, fosters experience exchange in search of solutions, encourages the collection of data on AMI across LATAM, and aims at developing an MI global alert system. In this respect, we should point out the collaboration of SOLACI with Stent – Save a Life, another fundamental initiative that will also make part of this session, conducted by Dr. Alfonsina Candiello (Argentina).
