14th Edition of ProEducar Fellows Course Held at SOLACI-CACI 2024

With a new modality, the 14th edition of ProEducar Fellows Course was held during SOLACI-CACI 2024, which took place on August 7 thru 9 at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires. For 14 uninterrupted years, SOLACI’s education program has offered cutting-edge practical and technical education to the entire interventionist community in the region.

This year, the traditional educational modules were delivered along all three days of Congress, and novel joint sessions with CACI, international and Latin American scientific societies were featured, looking to generate interactive learning opportunities for fellows with activities conducted by world class faculty.

The first module on intravascular imaging and complex PCI in high risk patients was carried out together with CRF-TCT, in the room Atlántico B. The session aimed at analyzing intracoronary physiology indications and intravascular imaging, and discussing tips and tricks to perform CHIP interventions.

The second module was delivered together with EuroPCR and focused on trascatheter aortic valve interventions (TAVR). This session aimed at teaching the key concepts of TAVR indication and patient selection criteria, in addition to discussing its technique, step by step, from beginning to end.

CACI participated in the second day of activities. This was a learning session titled “Flying as Fellows: Complications in our routine practice”. Renowned keynote speakers shared their strategies to approach complications in the daily practice.

Module IV, together with SCAI, addressed sate of the art techniques in bifurcations treatment, from simple interventions to the most complex. Finally, module V was done together with SOLACI Sessions, with the traditional format “one case, one lesson”, where renowned Latin American professionals shared their challenging cases with important lessons for fellows.

By the end of our annual meeting, this year’s ProEducar contest winners were announced, and 3 scholarships for SCAI’s Fall Fellows Course (December 11-15, 2024) and 10 registration wavers for TCT 2024 (October 27-30, Washington DC) were granted.
