DKCRUSH-VI: FFR versus conventional angiography in true bifurcations and provisional stent

The aim of this study was to compare angioplasty guided by fractional flow reserve (FFR) versus conventional angiography in bifurcations treated with provisional stent technique for lateral branch. The study included patients with bifurcations 1,1,1 or 0,1,1 of Medina classification and lateral branches, superior to 2.5 mm. 2nd generation pharmacological stents were used.

After stent implantation in the main branch, FFR was performed in the lateral branch and if results were >0.8 procedure conclusion was declared. With FFR <0.8 dissection or TIMI,

Conclusion

In this study, no benefit was observed in the use of FFR to guide treatment of bifurcation side branch with provisional stent technique.
